The smallest unit of any society is the family. This reality is rooted in the created order described in Genesis. Many cultural realities influence how “family” is structured and functions. The biblical model is a father, mother, and children connected to a larger extended group of near relatives.
At SPC we believe in family and strive to offer events, programs, and courses that provide support, information, training, etc. to strengthen families. Our marriage enrichment course is one such program. Counseling to assist individuals, couples, children, etc. work through challenges, issues, hurts, etc. is another. Pastor Purdy frequently presents sermon series dealing with subjects intended to help families face and deal with the stuff our fast-paced post-modern world throws at us.
